"The Holy Mass is a prayer
itself, even the highest prayer that exists. It is the sacrifice
dedicated by our Redeemer at the Cross, and repeated every day on the
Alter. If you wish to hear Mass as it should be heard, you must follow
with the eye, heart and mouth all that happens at the Altar.
Further, you must pray with the Priest the holy words said by him in the
Name of Christ and which Christ says by him. You have to
associate your heart with the holy feelings which are contained in these
words and in this manner you ought to follow all that happens on the
Altar. When acting in this way you have prayed Holy Mass."

0 Saint Pius X, admirable example of humility and of strength,
living image of the Divine Shepherd, receive our supplications with that heart which you
had here on earth always sympathetic towards every human need. By your intercession assist
the Church and the pope, sanctify the priests, spread the Christian faith, guide the
people and render them docile to the Apostolic See, convert the erring, and preserve the
innocence of children.
0 holy pontiff implore Jesus and Mary in her Assumption, for all the spiritual and
material needs of suffering humanity, and bring about the fulfillment of the ideal of
faith, of charity, of justice and of peace, for which you lived while on earth: "To
renew all things in Christ."
